sometimes as a stay at home mom, i tend to feel under appreciated.
a toddler is not going to say thank you for all the things you do all day. she is more likely to throw a tantrum. my working husband doesn’t always realize all the things i do on a daily basis to make sure the household runs smoothly. he just knows food will the there, laundry will be clean, the house will be tidy, and our daughter taken care of.
sometimes i just want a thank you. housework is very rarely acknowledged unless it isn’t done. but just to give you an idea of my typical monday
- started laundry
- made the princess breakfast
- emptied the dishwasher
- straightened kitchen
- swept and mopped the main floor of the house
- cleaned out refridgerator
- took out trash
- worked out
- laundry (again)
- made lunch
- reloaded dishwasher
- target
- trader joes
- work to pick up paychecks
- bank
- kroger
- put away groceries
- made dinner
- cleaned kitchen/dishes (again)
- put away toys
- finish laundry
- cleaned catbox
- cleaned upstairs bathroom
- vacuum upstairs
- took out trash (again)
- princess bathtime
- bedtime
- and now i am working on this
and my husband wonders why i can’t always stay up for him to get home at midnight. i am tired since my day usually starts at 8:30
she at least gets to nap during errands
