gnocchi and bacon

i use this base recipe, with a few small changes.

i omit the tomatoes, bleh. i just dont like the texture of tomatoes, especially warm. 

i also cut the olive oil down to 1 tablespoon and use 5 slices of bacon. we love bacon in this house. 

i use belgian endive (2 small heads) instead of escarole. i like the flavor better and it is usually easier to find. plus i very rarely use the fresh parsley. i always forget to buy it and dried seems to work well enough. 

so not the same recipe but i like to give credit to the orginal recipe when i can.
